SICKFLIP is a collaborative and experimental solo project brought to life by Sarvesh Shrivastava, 20 year old music producer and DJ from Bombay (of Mental Martians fame with gigs in all the prime cities in India including Sunburn 2010 and 2011).

Musically, SICKFLIP ranges from Glitch hop, Dubstep, Drumstep, Experimental to Chill out.

 Making everything from Phat & Glitchy sounds to groovy smooth beats.

His styles are majorly influenced by artists like Bassnectar, Vent, Ill-Esha, Koan Sound, Skrillex, Trolley snatcha, Funtcase, Amon Tobin, Noisia and a lot more.

To make things more interesting behind the console, he plays a groovy blend of Glitch hop, Drumstep and Dubstep, along with Live samples, loops and sequences, keeping it fresh and distinct from usual DJ sets.

Kicks off this year with his upcoming EP on the Dutch label - ‘Rub A Duck’ comprising of his original Experimental Dubstep track and a Drum n Bass VIP Remix by Relay & Front.

He intends to collaborate with other artists and work on his original album which will be coming out later this year.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Rub A Duck is part of Black Hole recordings and always offer fresh and exciting music for the modern dancefloors. For example Sickflip offer what himself describes as Experimental Dubstep. If you love  atmospheric ambient sounds with tough dustep basslines you are going to appreciate this brand new style. Its definitely a mind opening experience and superb track to use in a chill set for sure. You can notice samples recorded from real life situations that really add a totally new dimension that is interesting to listen. Of course if you want something to play out the superb Relay & Front recreate the original into a dynamic drum n bass version that retains the roughness and aggressive atmosphere of the original. Driving, energetic, dark and mysterious this version will make you dance for sure and easily can become soundtrack in an action scene in a Hollywood blockbuster. Check iT!
