REVIEW: Markus Schulz & Dennis Sheperd - Go! out on Coldharbour/Armada Music

1.Go! (Original Mix)
2.Go! (Radio Edit)

Put the speakers on high alert. Markus Schulz has been back in the thick of it!

Hot off the back of his 'Los Angeles '12' city compilation, with 'Go!' he's giving fans their first taste of music from his new artist album (due later in the year). Back in November Markus had fellow countryman Dennis Sheperd over to his Berlin studio and between them, over some intensive studio sessions, they cooked up this sub-atomic floor-monopoliser.

Giving it their April Single of the Month, DJ Mag said: "sometimes a track requires the verse/chorus/verse treatment and sometimes its just takes one word". No prizes for guessing which category 'Go!' falls into.

In terms of its production dynamic, you can clearly hear who's bringing what to this party. Markus kits 'Go!' out with concussive beats, cyclonic synths and a good n proper helping of distorted techno sub-riffs. Dennis meanwhile trucks in its thermal pads & chords and uprushing, electrifying euphoric touches.

Not shy with the throttle, 'Go!' is a Saturday Night Special, ready to consume all in its path. One little word. One juggernaut of a track!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Markus Schulz is considered as one of the most influential figures in EDM culture as his sound had an impact on many young producers who aspire to follow his successful steps. Markus is noteworthy also for his assistance to help new talents to grow and through his label to make them known worldwide.  His collaboration with the young but already very successful Dennis Sheperd was expected with anticipation and finally is out ready to blow some speakers. The title of it says it all really. When you listen this top track the only thing that you can do is to let yourself GO nuts and out of your head completely. When two great producers unite their creative impulses the result is an anthem that will dominate the trancefloors from now until the end of summer season as well. It starts with deep bouncy basslines but soon the track becomes tougher and faster until to land on the first breakdown that a distorted dark synthy melody appears to make everybody go berserk for sure. Very soon the solid fat beats return for the ultimate jump up and down climax. You just want to dance along with it without thinking how you do it and who is watching you. Of course huge stand out moment is the great warm melodic theme that suddenly appears upon the rocking sharp beats that add a totally new dimension to it! Summer Anthem Alert fresh and groundbreaking! Love IT!
