REVIEW: Abdomen Burst ft. Yavanndiel - Solar Eclipse out on Solaris

1.Dub
2.Vocal Mix
3.Fantasy SlowStep Version
4.Almar Remix
5.Sovt Remix
6.Aaron Gray Remix

Something breakbeat driven here, gleaned from Solarstone's Electronic Architecture 2 compilation. Russia's Andrey Shirokov stays faithful to this often overlooked genre of breaks driven trance music which has a 'Distinctive' vibe to it. The Original Dub is all chunky cut up breaks, atmospheric chord progressions and a neat piano melody. Yavanndiel provides an emotional performance for the 'Vocal Mix' - the only vocal version in this package. Andrey's own 'Fantasy Slowstep Version' is a wicked hybrid of Dubstep and Slowstep styles, with a mammoth payoff after the extended ambient intro! On the more familiar trance tip, Almar drops another of his wicked uplifting mixes which would not sound out of place in a Vandit Classics compilation, Sovt provides a smooth warm progressive trance mix and the remix package is completed by a mix from Solarswarmer Aaron Gray.

Dimitri Kechagias review:  Solaris recordings is a beloved label headed by Rich Solarstone and with series of quality releases from established and upcoming producers like the Russian Abdomen Burst who service us a superb slice of dreamy progressive  trance breaks with cinematic atmosphere that will travel your mind away with some dustep influenced sequences as well. The vocal mix is certainly a sonic experience worth having on the dancefloor when the sun comes up as the final chill out moment to come down nicely.  The remix package transforms the track into our beloved trance sub styles. Almar adopts in his breakdown the cinematic atmosphere within his uplifting trance remix that blows out of proportion when the guitar balearic riff leads the way to the main hands in the air euphoric trance part. Sovt remix reshapes the original theme into a deep dark progressive trancer that is inspiring and transfer you to another dimension for sure. Aaron Gray gives a totally different colourful sound to the original in his own emerging style. Overall its a very nice summery release that can be played from dusk till dawn. Love iT!
