REVIEW: Esolar - Mongo/F**king B*tch out on Rub A Duck/Black Hole

01. Mongo
02. F**king B*tch

Esolar makes his debut on the Rub A Duck imprint and presents the titles “Mongo” and “F**king B*tch”.
The Dutch producer started music production in the mid-nineties, initially with a strong focus on Drum & Bass, Breakbeat and Hip Hop, but over time he shifted back to Dance. Influenced by Hip Hop from the nineties and old school House music, Esolar created his own characteristic sound, which is distinguished by the use of loud drums and melodic leads. The name of the act itself, Esolar, refers in its essence to solar energy: the sun gives us energy, but as a twist it’s pronounced in Dutch. In Esolar’s work, guitarist Shycop plays an important part. Joining forces in 2003, the two made a strong team and have worked together ever since. Shycop collaborated on a lot of Esolar’s tracks and in 2004 they released an instrumental album under the name of Semicrack.

Over the past decade Esolar has contributed to several releases under different aliases. Now presenting his first EP on the Rub A Duck imprint, he unleashes two raw electro tracks with an attractive, rude undertone. Both “Mongo” and “F**cking B*tch” deliver a rough and unpolished sound to the dance floor. The irresistible groove of Esolar’s productions makes this EP a must for the DJs that play harder!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Breda in the Netherlands introduce to the EDM community exceptional talents and artists that you should have always an ear and your attention on them. Now is time for Esolar to deliver his raw, dirty and very groovy sound on the Breda based record label Rub A Duck. If you have an experienced and trained ear for good solid grooves I'm very sure that you are going to appreciate Esolar's latest EP with two exceptional tracks. First of all for Mongo applies a bouncy solid kick drum that is thick, long and round with old school style vocal samples on top. He even adds some acid touches as well  and cool melodic theme that creates a certain dark and sinister atmosphere. Its sexy, rough and tough, rich with sounds and perfect for nu rave/electro house sets. Secondly F**king B*tch is smashing little monster too with chunky funky cool electro house meets tech house style. Acid influences are present as well with electro basslines and old school flavourings to add a certain macho adrenaline packed unique taste that will satisfy the most hungry crowds for underground, unconventional and highly artistic creative sounds. Rock Your Body Hard with two right on the spot club vibrators. Love IT!
