David Berkeley never intended to become a professional musician. “I sang all the time, almost before I could talk,” Berkeley recalls. “There wasn’t a lot of music around the house. My parents didn’t take me to anything like Star Search performances, but they did take me to New York to see Broadway musicals. I had a good ear and could remember the words and melodies to the songs I liked, but I didn’t start playing myself until fairly late.” Also he mentions “It may be pop music, but my goal is to be open and honest. I’m not afraid to show fear and weakness. I want my songs to convey hope without denying the hard times we all face.”

Every trance release should include a Steve Brian remix as his sound is very current and on demand mainly from his growing fanbase. Now its time on the awesome label Euphonic records Steve Brian to return with brand new collaboration with David Berkeley after their very successful Agulo project with the trance smash hit Fire Sign on Enhanced Progressive. George Square is a massive progressive vocal trancer of the highest quality. Of course the winning element is David's sensitive and highly emotional voice that is so unique and beautiful. His performance is so expressive and in my ear sounds like he means very deeply every single sentence he sings about. He sounds like narrating a true story that happened to him. Steve Brian provides a smashing pumping electro prog trance style soundbed with energetic electroish basslines and wonderful feel good melodic layers on top. The composition allows David's voice to stand out and the various sound effects used make the result simply unforgettable and very touching. The breakdown is soothing with piano riffs supporting the meaning of the song even more. Of course the result is very cinematic and while he sings is impossible not to start seeing the mental image of that George Square and the love story that takes place in it. The main part is pure uplifting euphoria with chopped vocals, tribalish bouncy beats and various melodic layers all sounding too beautiful to be true.
