1-Bipolar
2-It's Yours
3-Ring On It
4-Yoyo Ma
With Skrillex, Axwell, Radio 1 and MTV Dance all supporting his recent anthem "Mozart" (with Arty), the fast rising Mat Zo returns with an eclectic four-track blast of his innovative talents - each track a distinct dancefloor juggernaut in its own right.
With recent eclectic sets at events like the Bugged Out! Weekender and his drum & bass material as MRZO and MRSA for Hospital Records supported by the likes of Camo & Crooked, Zo is fast asserting himself as unique electronic talent; something "The Bipolar EP" reinforces further by blending influences as varied as Daft Punk, Diplo, Deadmau5 and even classic US house and twisting them into bold big room sounds.
Surging the raw funk of Daft Punk at their punkiest against the deeply musical strains that Zo is renowned for, the lead track "Bipolar" lives up to its name by flitting between clicky grooves, electro synth stabs and subtle melodic waves in devastating dancefloor fashion.
A homage to Mat's love of classic dance across the 90s and early noughties, "It's Yours" is as inventive take on Jon Cutler & E-Man's funky house classic "It's Yours". Already a big room anthem from Mat's recent sets at Bugged Out! Weekender and TATW400 in Beirut, "It's Yours" builds waves of infectious melodic funk into a climatic drop.
A bridge between the carnival sounds of acts like Diplo and Major Lazer and the stadium filling trance world, "Ring On It" is an experimental bleep and bass-heavy explosion of carnival vibes - built around a subtle but undeniably epic riff.
Named after the world famous cellist, closing track "Yoyo Ma" is a driving melodic tech odyssey that draws influences from Eric Prydz's most epic Pryda work, big room techno and the classier end of trance.
Mat Zo has just announced his biggest tour of North America yet - including dates at San Francisco's Ruby Skye, Toronto's Guvernment, Denver's Beta and Chicago's Sound Bar.

Mat Zo - The Bipolar EP by Anjunabeats
Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the most creative EDM producers is of course Anjunabeats super star Mat Zo. He has proved until now that he has the ability to move in and out of dance genres with great ease. His brand new EP coming out on 13th of February is pure dancefloor power with 4 dynamites that will use elements of wide variety of styles in order to create the unique and stand out sound that Mat Zo is well known and loved for. First of is the lovely Bipolar. It uses a very groovy electro house style beat and one of the most classic vocal samples: Ask Yourself Can You Dance??. Very soon the rough edged funky chunky part gives its place to a very melodic trance influenced part that lead us to the main breakdown. After getting all excited the big climax comes to tear the dancefloor down. Next on this gold status EP is the massive It's Yours. With French House influenced basslines and electro style beat builds upon it his sonic enviroment with tech and even deep house elements along with synthy stabs and that uber cool vocal spoken sample: It's Yours. The whole production is so playful and sparkling that you simply want to listen to it again and again. The breakdown is feel good with French House style melody and then the big climax goes for an epic prog house influenced big room part with huge synths and twisted beats. Yoyo Ma starts pretty melodic on that Arty style tip but very soon adopts again that electro prog house style with intensity, drive, energy, funk and groove for the ultimate dancefloor killer. Once again he takes extra care to deliver a stunning breakdown with epic style melody with sweet female voices and the whole production shinning with positivity until his electro style beat comes in and upon it the great melodic theme along with some twisted and squeezed vocal samples. Ring on It is the last one that follows closely the Arty style ready made for the big epic Swedish house style sets but on the Mat Zo way of course. Hard to find something that I dont like in this EP in order to be critical and constructive. I think is Brilliant, perfect chance to take a glimpse in the future of EDM. I have a feeling that this EP will do great in USA clubfloors. Love it!
