Irish producer Joe Kolbohm touches down at Blaubeat..

'Bliss' is the first of two tracks here.. sharp percs, a classic round house bassline and dramatic effects combine with clean pads & metallic drops of sound for a real understated gem.

Next up is 'Twist', with more of a thump & drive to this groove, wood perc & a filtered bass which opens its way through the mix. a chiming melody line gives the breakdown a lift before it all goes off after the break.. again, lovely clean precise techno



Dimitri Kechagias review: Joe Kolborn comes on the always high quality techno sublabel of Baroque records, Blaubeat with two great pieces of techno blissfullness that recalls the sound of Detroit of sure. Two minimal large and long tracks with warm melodies upon techy grooves that will keep your heart beats pulsating on the same BPM rate for sure. Bliss is the slower of the two tracks with great melodies, vocal samples and dark basslines. Its a real sonic journey that has a point and manage to establish a certain atmosphere as well. Twist is the bouncier of the two with more upfront melodies and overall nice driving basslines that sound so special and large on a big sound system. Melodic techno worth checking out with the seal of approval of Baroque records. Like It!
