REVIEW: Jagged Hedz feat Dave Vader - Sell my Soul out on Rub A Duck

1. Sell My Soul (Main Mix)
2. Sell My Soul (Radio Edit)
3. Sell My Soul (Into The Vortex Mix)
4. Sell My Soul (New Machine Remix)
5. Sell My Soul (New Machine Radio Edit)
In 2004 Dave Budgen and Tom Taylor met in the Gold Coast Australia .
Dave was on tour with breakbeat dons The Freestylers on The Big Day Out and Tom was touring with his project The Electric Press (20:20vision).
Both hailing from north Yorkshire they soon hooked up again once back in the UK .

The two never started making music together seriously until October 2011 as both were busy with other commitments (Dave was touring with The Freestylers and Dub Pistols playing bass and Tom was DJ'ing with The Electric Press and setting up his own label 2pin records). However, as soon as they laid down their first track it was snapped up by black hole recordings imprint Rub-a-Duck .
Their sound fuses elements from all of their influences including breakbeat ,dub step , house , hip hop and metal and a bit of indie thrown in for good measure!
Their debut single 'sell my soul' is a club banger that should make some big waves in 2012. As soon as the striking piano chords hit and the vocal steps up you just know something special is about to happen!

With a fierce remix by the mighty NEW MACHINE ( check out the last two Maverick Sabre remixes ) and a heavyweight 'into the vortex' mix by Jagged hedZ dj's can look forward to a powerful weapon of choice for the dance floor!

The guys are currently working on their debut album and are collaborating with vocal artists such as Lindy Layton ( 'dub be good to me' Beats International and Dub Pistols ) , Red Star Lion ( Dub Pistols ) MC Darrison ( Ed solo and skool of thought )  and MC Sirreal (The Freestylers)

This year promises to be a big one for Jagged hedZ so get on board now and ENJOY THE RIDE!!.....

Dimitri Kechagias review: Are you ready for a brand new promising project on Rub A Duck?Jagged Hedz deliver their first single with a huge bang. Its one of those cases that you hear a track and you can sense from the very start that this track has all the potential to get big support from the dubstep fans. Sell My Soul with the indie rock vocal by Dave Vader is a shinning example of a great track that can easily crossover to the mainstream as well. If you love creative styles that have that dark cinematic atmosphere you are going simply to fell in love with all the stunning versions packed in this must have release. The original starts quite old fashion with piano and the cool vocal creating the right mysterious dark climate for the tough and sharp as knife breaks to come in and get totally wild and explosive in a version that you can not afford to miss. I can imagine this becoming the soundtrack in a movie like Underworld or well known TV series. Into the Vortex is a deeper dubstep version that pushes the barriers even further with minus use of the vocal allowing the bass bins vibrating like never before. New Machine remix is equally travelling as it starts with breaks, guitar riffs and the cool vocal. The dubstep meets drum n bass style version will mash your brain big time, give it a good squash and wash and after the cool little breakdown will let it run and wild on a faster climax. Superb release to Rub Your Ducky! Love IT!
