Breathemusic is launching its first release of the new year... watch out for "O.M.T.S." by Hypertrophy!
For some, "Hypertrophy" might ring a bell because back at the end of the glorious 1990s, the DJ duo had unbelieveable success with "Just Come Back To Me" and "Pullover", reaching position 51 and 53 of the official German music charts!
Times have changed, and with "Ocean Meets The Sun", Stefan Heinemann and Thorsten Kaiser a.k.a. Hypertrophy demostrate that their spectrum covers much more than their classic hits, featuring a highly emotional vocal together with a remarkable melody.

Andre Visior & ColdBlue join forces to an extremely promising collaboration. Andre´s "Moonraker" on Breathemusic gathered top international support and ColdBlue can for sure be called one of the brightest shooting stars, inventing one of the most favourite tracks in 2011 with the legendary "Fallen Angel". Teamed up, these two guys did an outstanding job with this powerful remix, focussing on the melodies and a tight bassline.
Another premiere is the remix by Dark Moon & Invision. Chris & Tino from Dark Moon and Björn a.k.a. Invision added even more power in their mix, featuring only the crucial parts of the vocal, a distinctive lead that sticks in mind and great atmospheric elements.
Funabashi is also a very well known act, who did a very deep and progressive remix of "O.M.T.S." around the exceptional and goosebump causing vocal in the center of attraction.
Jay B ("Desire") joins the remix party and brings am extremely interesting and unique interpretation of the track! Last but not least, Gabriele Menten ("Back") added a very playful and trancy version with his remix, rounding off the release.
Altogether, "Ocean Meets The Sun" covers a wide spectrum with its various mixes, reaching from progressive sounds at 126 BPM to the 140 BPM peak time trancer.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The superb label Breathe Music from Germany provides for their latest release one of the strongest packages that covers a wide spectrum of trance sybstyles. Hypertrophy that is a classic trance project is back with the wonderful release Ocean meets the Sun and the magnificent Nicola Quilter on vocal duties. First of all is the exceptional Andre Visior vs Cold Blue remix. Two great talents combine their forces and they offer us a solid energetic prog trancer with electro and tech influences with rocking basslines and excellent use of the beautiful melodic theme without the vocal. Perfect version for the djs who like to let the music do the talking and allow the listeners to imagine their own words. Funabashi remix is a brilliant deep and soulful progressive trancer with deep basslines, warm strings and allows the central role to Nicole who sings in a very impressive way her meanignful poetic lyrics. Pure quality that should be experienced with closed eyes on the dancefloor. Darkmoon & Invision mix is powerful and highly energetic with tribal tech kick drum and wonderful melodic layers on top along with a romantic piano riff. The breakdown is atmospheric with just the chorus of the vocal and then the driving synths are ready to take over along with the soothing piano melodies. The main part is quite techy just right for the big room trance sets. JayB well known for his uplifting trance tracks delivers a quite different track this time in a more proglifting trance style with bubbly beats and what stands out for me is the wonderful way the mesmerising high quality vocals work perfectly with the soundbed that JayB composed of course. Last but not least Gabriele Menten provide the euphoric uplifting trance version that is straight to the point with Balearic guitar touches and the whole composition in a way brings in my mind summer holidays in Ibiza. Once again the vocal has a central role and is perfectly highlighted by Gabriele quality production. Overall is a release that is destined to be remembered as classic of the beloved genre. Love It!
