Felix Pot is back on Fraction Records main imprint with the absolutely stunning 'Autumn Storm' and 'Pinata' double A-sider. With fresh production technique and trademark melodic grooves on show once again, this 2 track delight shows maturity beyond the years of this young dutchman...
Autumn Storm opens the release with it's delicate rhythms and haunting vocal soundscapes before unfurling into a serene, yet powerful floor controlling masterclass complete with energizing chord changes and glistening plucked synth lines!
Pinata follows the theme perfectly with more clever percussive sequences and atmospheric backdrops to the main melody lines, while the over driven bass lines and groovy hits capture the vibe brilliantly. Key to the track title is apparent upon the breakdown, where the spanish guitars pick and flow beautifully before rising up into an ensemble of red-hot energy - powerful stuff!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Fraction records keeps us all fit and happy on the trancefloor with another high quality release by the new and upcoming superstar Felix Pot. Two great tracks ready to dominate your club nights in the coming weeks. First of all is the brilliant Autumn Storm. It follows the tech trance tip with progressive trance influences as well. It has that relentless drive that keep you interested and absorbed. Piano riffs and warm synths lead us on the massive breakdown. Large as you wish it to be with ambient atmosphere and exotic melodies. Very soon the huge ravey riff lands on the trancefloor and is about to blow big time in the main part that will get everybody dancing in just seconds. Big room melodic trance with high production values that will stand out whenever you decide to drop it. Pinata on the other side is a totally different thing. Tech trance chunky bassline that has the groove of electro house as well. Slowly additional melodic layers are added with super large epic orchestral style theme that lead us on the big breakdown that a massive Hispanic guitar riff is revealed to transfer your mind in the nearest Mediterranean beach. Then a big breaks part pushes the adrenalin levels even higher with that orchestral style melody on top. The climax is big room as you wish to be. Full on and hands in the air in a very epic melodic style that I simply adore. Two Massive Trance crackers for peak time use of course. Love it!
