Featuring on Above & Beyond's recent "Anjunabeats Volume 9", Jaytech's "Overdrive" is the latest effort from the prolific Australian and takes a more hypnotic route than normally associated with his sound.

A glistening, groove-laden progressive builder that layers waves of melodic textures, "Overdrive" eventually arrives at a dramatic breakdown climax - teasing out the anticipation before a laser-lit drop. Already a firm favourite in the earlier half of Above & Beyond's DJ sets, "Overdrive" is another sign of Jaytech's current creativity.

Russian star PROFF adds one of his instantly recognisable, hip-wiggling 80s-indebted basslines to his bright, bubbly remix. Whilst retaining the original's melodic spirit, PROFF's remix captures a totally contrasting vibe - full of upbeat melodies and energetic groove.

Completing a smart three-track EP, upcoming producer Giran takes Jaytech's recent piano house anthem "New Vibe" and gives it a cl assic progressive twist.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Anjunadeep is a trusting force of progressive music and each and every single release stands out from the rest. Jaytech fresh from his remix on Above & Beyond's latest anthem Formula Rossa shakes well his studio and delivers the superb Overdrive. If you like clever groovy prog house tracks with electro twisted beats, dirty basslines but with subtle melody at the background, then dont look far and away. Overdrive merges the sounds of today into one really modern, fresh, sparkling and spanking track that deserves to become an anthem for any prog house dj who loves to lighten up the darkness with some rays of hopeful feelgood melodies. PROOF who is a brilliant and right to the point producer provides the more upbeat version that sounds perfect for the first progressive sounding hour in a nice trance set that builds and travels the audience through beautiful soundscapes and unexplored territories. Difficult to write when you have the urge to dance along but i have to do it im afraid. The top package includes the superb New Vibe that was released previously and attracted the love and attention of many quality dj's out there. The piano melody is so romantic and old fashion but in a very modern and feel good way. For this particular release Giran, a new name in my books, takes over the buttons and controls and provide a really large remix. It sounds more driving and powerful ready to blow big time in the peak moment of any well scheduled progressive set. The original elements are highlighted, shaked and turned in a way that sound stronger. Its playful, its feel good, its bright shinny progressive music of the highest callibre. Love IT!
