One of the most successful Dutch rock bands, DI-RECT, is nationally known for its blazing live shows and no-nonsense attitude. October 2011 marked the release of their much anticipated new studio album Time Will Heal Our Senses of which Young Ones is the second single.

Already elected as the “Alarmschijf” (Song of the Week) on the biggest Dutch commercial station Radio 538, Young Ones now comes with outstanding dance reworks.

DI-RECT received quality remix treatments from a selection of tastemakers. Big house mixes are delivered by Sander Kleinenberg, Olav Basoski, Dem Slackers, Dani L-Mebius & Billy The Klit and Loopers & Dyro who gave it an amazing big room “Swedish” treatment. Bronstibock presents a pumping dubstep version and a broken beat fix comes from D-Felic.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Its now official that rock goes dance and more and more rock artists love to see their releases getting the EDM treatment. Im glad that because of the EDM mixes Im getting introduced to this great Dutch rock band. DI-RECT as it seems are ready to blow big time in the European scene with a lovely track that will become an anthem for the dj sets because of the ace reworks. The superb Sander Kleinenberg who is lately on great shape after his Drunk Text remix on Magik Muzik recreates the track in a playful summery progressive house mode that progressive boys will love to drop. The full vocal comes only with radio edit while the dub mix is the long perfect for those underground sets. Olav Basoski is a hit machine and the way he remixes this great track is so great that I can imagine epic prog house djs lovin and playin this as it recalls the Swedish House Mafia anthem Save The World. Its full of hope and optimism so its definitely an anthem in the making for the younger generations. Big room with driving beats and full vocal on the breakdown. If you want something more dirty dutchy but with that electro big room stadium feel as well press play on Loopers & Dyro version with clapping hands moments to raise the hands and sing a long. Dem Slackers remix is more proggy and summery but so  perfect for smaller dancefloors. Dani L-Mebius & Billy The Klit provide a playful electro house mix with retro melodies and great feel good drive to it. Bronstibock remix & D-Felic remix serve the modern trendy dubstep and breaks style. I can imagine many skaters and street graffiti guys having these versions and doing their thing. Love IT!
