REVIEW: SlaviX prs. Perfect Race - Breathtaking EP out on Crystal Source

SlaviX presents Perfect Race - Breathtaking (Original Mix)
SlaviX presents Perfect Race - The Life Outside (Original Mix)
SlaviX presents Perfect Race - The Life Outside (Lifted Mix)

Next up on Crystal Source is SlaviX with his Breathtaking EP. First up is the title track, Breathtaking. Perhaps more progressively focussed than his previous releases, Breathtaking revolves around a chunky groove with intermittent stabby and arpeggio type riffs.

The flip side to the release is The Life Outside. Again, slightly less euphoric than his usual releases, SlaviX has worked in a monster of a bassline into this track, surrounded by cheeky vocal chops and a spectacular breakdown.

No release on Crystal Source would be complete without an out and out uplifting trance track, and this EP is no different. SlaviX has also produced a Lifted mix of The Life Outside. Harmonious piano lines, another massive bassline, big pads and a gorgeous lead all come together to make a great piece of trance.

Dimitri Kechagias review:  Crystal Source service to the trance scene another must have release that includes 3 high quality tracks. First of all Breathtaking that comes only in its original mix that can be characterised as proglifting trancer with playful progressive electro trance beats with great groove and rthyth that is coupled with female vocals and great melodic theme that recalls great synthesizer classics. Dreamy and soothing but full of twists and surprises is surely a breathtaking track that particularly in the breakdown with all the melodic synths along the slow  beats will build the tension and release it on the main part really large and emphatic. Djs like Lange, Gareth Emery and Andy Moor will adore this track for sure. The Life Outside comes in two wonderful versions that will blow your mind and expectations too. Original mix is  much more upbeat than the previous one with choped random female vocals big room melody in the breakdown that will lead in a big room hands in their climax. On the other side the Lifted mix that is my favorite as well is the bouncier and bangier of the 3 as it adopts a main peak time main room approach. It tranforms the original into a thunderus piece of megatrance to get you right at the highest highes for that prime time feeling. Open your ears widely and get infected from this worth having release. Like IT!
