REVIEW: Re:Locate vs Robert Nickson- Resource / Prevening on ASOT

1.Resource (Original Mix)
2.Prevening (Original Mix)

Dutch producers Re:Locate and Robert Nickson present the first of hopefully many more collaborations to come. Kept exclusive for the Universal Religion Chapter 5 album, but now finally revealed, are ‘Resource’ & ‘Prevening’!

Two names that have kept the trance sound alive and kicking throughout the years, without questioning the endless options of experimenting in sound. Paul Moelands, veiling under Octagen and Re:Locate and responsible for classic ‘Rogue’, ‘Waterfall’ and remixes for Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and more. Robert Nickson, the producer behind highlights like ‘Godless’, ‘Superlative’, ‘We Won’t Forget’ and of course legendary classic ‘Spiral’, with his tracks soaking with mind-shivering melodies. Put these guys together and the outcome is no less than extraordinary.

‘Resource’ already won the hearts of the ‘Universal Religion Chapter 5’ listeners, kicking in with a punch of energy, heavy bass guitar, pounding beats and a rolling melody that catches on from the minute it hits in. ‘Prevening’ on the other hand builds on a reminiscent 90’s trance vibe, breaking into a medley of strings, deep drums and full-on sweeping synths right after the break. Two musical pieces of outstanding quality.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Sometimes only just the names of the producers  is a seal of guarantee. When the amazing Robert Nickson who is responsible for some unforgetable classics and the superb Re:Locate unite their forces  and we  hope that out of their studio will bring two very nice  and smiling babies. In our case the two masters of quality solid uplifting trance deliver the goods in two very unique and different tracks perfectly intune with the sounds that clubs currently demand of course. First of all is Resource that can be characteristed as big room uplifting trancer with rough raw edges with great work on the build up. They go on this one for a track that djs who play techy influenced trance tracks can incorporate in their sets and get the applause of their audience. The second track Prevening  which is my favorite is pure uplifting bliss of the highest callibre. Superb bubbly driving dynamic beats, beautiful melodies and warm balearic like atmosphere that lead us on the superb breakdown that uses a lovely classical music theme and very soon reveals the main melodic hook that will raise hands in the air and many bodies to as they will jump with joy as perhaps I will do while I will play it in my shows. Trance its Religion and it happens to be Universal Religion. Love IT!
