Solo tracks and collaborations ‘Godspeed’, ‘Halo’ and ‘Nardo’ brought him where he is today, being one of the most promising trance producers in the scene. ‘Spotlight’ hits the right note, not only on the Universal Religion Chapter 5 album by Armin van Buuren, but on any dance floor that it meets.
A solid and melodic track with a warm build-up, breathing the sound that is so typically van Deynhoven.
Dimitri Kechagias review: In my opinion Jorn van Deynhoven is one of the 10 best producers in the uplifting trance genre. He always takes care to produce tracks that will take the anthem status immediately. Spotlight as the name suggests is a brilliant uplifting monster size track that fat basslines, tough rocking beats will lead on a very large breakdown that ambient atmosphere and anthemic epic kind of melodies are come into play until that very huge ravey like distorted riff is revealed. That main melody is the ultimate hands in the air hook that trancers worldwide will simply adore and will get the challenge to ride it like being on the back of Pegasus flying all over the place. The high quality production, the many different layers of sounds in play are big proof that Jorn is synonimous of high quality uplifting trance. Highly recommended and at the beatport trance top 10 for sure.
