Returning once again to Unearthed Records is Luke Terry with his gorgeous new trance track, Counting Stars. With an almost onomatopoeic name, Counting Stars is a dreamy piece of trance, filled with angelic vocal chops, creamy arpeggio lines, driving basslines and an addictive main hook.
Luke has also produced an alternate 99 Returning mix of the track, harking back to trance of over 10 years ago. This version is all about the euphoria and emotion within the track, reminiscent of a time when trance was about the melody.
Completing the release is a monster of a remix from Stonevalley. Big beats, delicate synths, groovy acids and packed to the brim with passion, this one is definitely here to rock the dancefloor.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The really talented dj and producer Luke Terry returns on Unearthed Red for an anthem in the making. A real crowd pleaser that will recall definitely the golden days of the trance era. As always Luke deliver a stunning floating uplifting trancer with progressive feel to it. It sounds so floating and soothing particularly in the breakdown that the female choped vocals are in play and add that certain mysticm. The main part is pure hands in the air moment with that melancholic melody having an impact in your mood for sure. Luke offer us a second remix entitled 99 returning mix and is true without exaggerations that this mix brings back memories from the golden age of uplifting trance. The production is tighter on this version much more luscious and the build up comes with the oldies but goodies drum rull that will send those bodies jumping in the air. Last but not least the always on the spot Stonevalley provides a third exceptional mix that is pure trance pleasure. With attention to each and every single moment of the track the talented producer sends us in space with his more bouncy fat sounding top notch version. Its very hard to decide the version that I like more its true and I guess you will have the same difficulty. Lets Count the Stars and Dance then...
