REVIEW:Mat Zo - Frequency Flyer out on Anjunabeats

Mat Zo is on fire right now. With tracks like his Beatport dominating crossover "Superman" getting support from DJs like Axwell, Tiesto and Above & Beyond, not forgetting a typically innovative artist album in the making, the London producer is just doing what he does best... ripping up the rulebook.

Another innovative big room monster, "Frequency Flyer" is set to bend, blend and blur the genre barriers yet again. Beginning on infectious house groove, "Frequency Flyer" thumps in with bright synth stabs before strains of Daft Punk's gallic keyboard-funk rise up in the breakdown.

Hitting in with a hard-hitting, melodic drop, "Frequency Flyer" lives up to its name in style.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Mat Zo is one of the hottest producers at the moment and the reason is of course his belief in innovation and  creation of music that doesnt belong to any kind of categories or genres. You can check out for example his latest wonderful anthem Frequency Flyer. What you get in its  7 minutes of duration? A superb uplifting journey that is impossible not to make you scream and shout it really loud that : "I Love Mat Zo". With influences ranging from trance, techno, electro, house and drum n bass this brand new release is a trully versatile track that epic prog house supporters will adore it and support it and the progressive trance djs can adopt it in their sets particularly in the first hour of their set that warm up their audience with progressive beats and pieces. The breakdown is not fluffy and dreamy but its rather funky and extremely infectious with the update on that cool French house sound. It sounds large and will ride high on many charts and dj playlists. Mat Zo is definitely a true innovator and real music creator!
