The first Volume of ‘Hands On Armada’ was launched with the expertise of producer Alex M.O.R.P.H. It brought something refreshingly new and creative, pointing out the art of remixing and showcasing the sound of the German producer. Volume 1 featured 19 of Armada’s old and new classics, given a fine remix stir by Alex. The ‘Hands On Armada’ series brings together the past and present, providing longevity of music.
Old and new go hand in hand on ‘Hands On Armada’. That’s exactly what makes Dabruck & Klein the perfect candidates for the second Volume of the beloved series. Dimitri Kechagias review: Its such an exciting idea to offer your back catalogue to just one artist and then allow him to do whatever he likes on the tracks that he chooses of course to recreate in his own special way and established style. After the successful first part produced by the excellent dj and producer Alex Morph now is the time for the hottest German progressive house masters the awesome Dabruck and Klein to put their dirty hands on Armada's back catalogue and deliver some monsters that at the moment cross over from progressive house to even trance sets. The first part in my hands includes 6 really Ultra large versions of some tracks that just their name brings shivers all over our bodies. First of all the ultimate trance anthem Binary Finary that encapsulates the big boom of trance in 1998. Dabruck & Klein take on it is simply perfect. The crispy playful beats and the hot twisted basslines along with the excellent memorable riff will do real damage. Lustral's Legacy includes lovely memorable guitar riffs and strong sing a long vocals. The perfect ingredients for the talented duo to take in their hands and produce an ultra large anthem for the peak time moments of your sets. 3 Drives on a vinyl seminal classic as it seems can handle one more mix as I was waiting now that progressive house is in constant need of big themes to use the unforgetable riff from that classic as well. Their remix is pure hands in the air pleasure with synthy stabs and mediterranean sea and sun taste in your mouth. Orjan Nilsen is a trance wonderboy and the progressive house duo does what can do best to bring the magic back of the original. Its simple stunning how they manage to capture what was great with the original and provide a stunning new version. Waiting is one of the finest moments of Dash Berlin & Emma on vocal duties. Beautiful voice that sounds great upon the pumpy prog house sounds that only Dabruck and Klein can offer to a track. Finally Chris Reese awesome Salvation is revamped on the finest way. The result is to get an album of big floorfillers and peak time dj tools. Its simply a great concept and I hope Armada will carry on doing it with more of their artists in their rooster! NOTE: The artwork is fantastic and worth having in your bedroom as poster!
