The first collab between German trance stars Ronski Speed & Cressida is a highly energetic melodic trancer with a chordmelody that is bound to be heard in clubs all over the world very soon. 'Glueck' is an exciting melting pot of musical styles and influences, throwing in a heavy dose of electro through the rasping bassline, contrasted by glorious uplifting melodies in the breakdowns. All is expertly seasoned with crisp percussion and a shimmering background vocal. Peaktime trance, already champiomed by the likes of Ferry Corsten.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The decision of the two German trance heroes to work together for a track is promising and the global trance community was waiting with anticipation for the result of this collaboration. The title of the track in German language has two meanings Luck and Happiness. According to Cressida comments on YouTube in the context of the particular track the word has the meaning of Happiness. Definitely this track will accomplish its goal well that is to keep people happy on the dancefloor and most importantly really surprised as they will not be sure what is coming next. The bassline is really raw and energetic with dirty grungy feel to it that has that wobble effect in your body. The first long breakdown reveals ethereal chopped female vocals with great effects till the large synthy melody lead appear and the light jockey in the club will love it as he can turn night into day with all the light effects. The melodic part stops quite rapidly and surprising with that sharp and bouncy bassline and tough beat to come back to drive us mad till the second long and large breakdown that will tease your audience and build anticipation and is pretty similar like the first breakdown. The difference is that now after the breakdown a big euphoric hand in air main part comes with that pleasant optimistic happy melody on the top of that tough bouncy prog trance beat. It will become the perfect climax that the clubbers were waiting for in order to let themselves go and totally lost it on the dancefloor. Then it follows a shorter breakdown that the outro part of the track is introduced for the working djs to mix it with the next track in the set. Expect to see it in Autumn within many “ Best Of Ibiza Trance Anthems” type of compilations. Lets hope Ronski and Cressida will have the chance to collaborate again in the near future cause as it seems their talent, skills and influences can be easily merged into something totally new. Please do not forget that if you have enjoyed Ronski and Cressida music and dj sets will be great to vote for both of them in the DJ Mag Top 100 djs pool that is now open: http://www.djmag.com/top100djs/
