Estonia’s Rene Pais has been one of the championed names on Coldharbour Recordings throughout 2011. Following on from remixing Mr. Pit’s iconic Shana for Coldharbour 100, he was part of the label’s opening foray into the new year with the release of Second Chapter. Rene followed that up with work on Markus Schulz’s Do You Dream Remixed CD, putting his take on the final track from that particular album, Goodbye.

However, it was his contribution to Markus’ Prague ’11 compilation which has lead to one of the most anticipated releases of the summer.

Featuring the vocals of Madelin Zero, Another Day has grown to become one of those memorable singalong moments presented through the Coldharbour label. With Markus’ own Big Room Reconstruction being made available due to its extensive play on Global DJ Broadcast and A State of Sundays, it compliments the origin al and dub versions of Rene’s work. A beautiful melodic journey and a sublime effort from Madelin are there for all to hear.

On remix duty for another day is one of the breakout producers of 2011. Hailing from Medellin in Colombia, KhoMha’s productions and remixes have fuelled Markus’ livesets all year round. Even though he received the remix only two hours before his special seven hour solo set at London’s Ministry of Sound back in June, it didn’t deter Markus from giving the sold out crowd an unexpected treat. It has gone on to become a big anthem in his livesets, with plays at Pacha in New York, Space in Miami, Ruby Skye in San Francisco and the Global Gatherings of Gdansk, Kiev and St. Petersburg to name a few.

Last but not least, Rene swings back into action with a beautiful instrumental effort which has also made its way into Markus’ liveset rotation. Boasting that typical driving DNS Project bassline and lead we’ve become accustomed to, Redeemer provides a very strong supplement that will work perfectly in many studio and livesets.

Prepared specifically for the summer season, one of the big Coldharbour offerings in 2011 has landed.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Coldharbour and Markus Schulz is definitely on the rise. After experiencing his greatness in his magnificent set at Nature One one thing is for sure that Markus is moving step by step right at the top. The brand new Coldharbour release is on that typical and influential style that Markus manage to establish through the years and associate with him. The deep driving basslines combined with those characterically melancholic melodies written by DNS project highlighted with the voice of Madelin Zero that sounds so fragile and ready to break down. Markus does his own usual make over of the track and you know this version will hit all the right parts of human mind to order the rest of the body to obey and dance. Khomha is an amazing new talent from Latin America that drives forward any set with his big melodic prog house meets trance style that is so hybrid and eclectic that trance and house djs easily can squeeze it in their peak time moments. Redeemer is little extra that goes deep, beautiful and melodic and will sound perfect for any instrumental based sets. Overall this is another release that stands right at the top from the label that has the most loyal following in the globe.
