'Must Have Fallen' is a solid trancer, spanning the scope of the genre with elements of progressive, uplifting and deep. Dynamically balanced, it readily fits into any DJs set, be it in a big room or small club, and shines with a unique sound that is likewise as warm-up as it is primetime.
With lyrics and thoughtfully integrated production skills that display Tiff Lacey's singing and songwriting capabilities to the max, her siren like voice pulls you deeper into the music, encompassing every emotion a listener could imagine.
It starts out strong, with an energy-filled roll of a bassline, nicely paired with crunchy snares and popping kick that get your ears primed for perfection.
That 'perfection' comes when the bassline steps aside for the vocals, dropping in on cue and triggering the buildup. Falling synth notes come in, like sonic raindrops, along with a piano that harmonizes beautifully with the rest of the track.
It all gives way to the choral breakdown, where vocalist, piano and stringy pads reign for a quick moment, before the snare drums' roll brings the tracks full force smashing back in.
Powerful until the very last second, this latest release on First State Music is not one to disappoint. 'Must Have Fallen' is, simply put, a One-of-a-kind track. Truly deserving of a prime spot in any DJs collection.
Dimitri Kechagias review: I'm so glad that Shane is going to release his first track on First State Music something that i was really waiting to happen with anticipation. Must Have Fallen is brilliant warm balearic vocal trancer perfetcly timed to get a release within the summer season. From listening to it just one time you will realize that is so well produced that shines with quality and has all the energy and sensitivity that you can expect from a track that the lady of trance, the charismatic and really busy Tiff Lacey is taking part. Her performance is really epic and very special as always giving an inspiring edge to the whole production. Influences from variety of genres like electro trance, with rough tech edges and uplifting feel good melodic layers are mixed up in order to deliver an ultra large Ibiza trance anthem in the making. Would be cool to add some great remixes on it from Craving or the lovely Jason van Wyk.
