Dimitri Kechagias review: You are about to witness the latest big hyped release that deserves each single word or long phrase written for it all over the net at the moment. The always outstanding Don Jackson’s Headstrong project who is hailing from York in UK is back with another big vocal anthem featuring the Danish lady of trance Stine Grove. The track is called Tears and has the potential to become sure crowd pleaser in big room club floors and open air festivals particularly in the form of the very hot Aurosonic progressive remix. Of course the final release of "Tears" as it is always happening with Headstrong releases is accompanied by an extended package of strong solid remixes catering for variety of styles. The Club remix is full on driving electro club trance at its finest with huge synthy lead that take us on the first small break down that through various effects the voice of Stine starts to shine. Then that manic electronic melody is back along with other melancholic melodic layers on top that lead us on the main breakdown that Stine voice is fully revealed. When the beat comes back you feel totally blown away. Joseph Fisher is a new name in my trance books and he provides a very dynamic and playful remix with tribal undertones, hard house beats and lovely synths. He even introduces his own little melodic rays that support Stine’s voice to come in the open and make you lose your breath for moment or two. After the main breakdown the track carries on a more tech tribal style that will sound perfect for big rooms. Another really happening producer at the moment is of course Genix who once again outdone himself as he provides a big room electro bouncer that uses chopped parts of the vocal upon his trademark electro trance basslines. The break down is atmospheric enough to offer you series of goosebumps. He uses again just a small part of the vocal fully echoed splashed with sound effects. The manic electro beat comes back and the track gets that funky groovy feel that you know that clubbers who want less vocal more raw beat meat will adore. Thuggar and Paul Miller take Stine from her hand and abandon her in the middle of a big room uplifting trancer that has acid undertones, fat basslines and all the expertise than you can expect on a Paul Miller trancer. As you can expect there is a large break down that the all alone Stine Grove tell her melancholic sad story and out from nowhere a large epic synth lead appear that plays the main melodic theme of the track. When the beat is back you know by now that your crowd is waving their hands in the air and they are on their way to their personal trance heaven. Karl G who never fails to impress this time provides the big room epic prog house version with techy tribal house beats but with melodic edge in a style that djs who like to play Michael Woods or Swedish House Mafia style records will adopt it straight away for their sets. This remix is so well produced with so much complexity and clever little ideas that will keep you waiting for what is coming next. The perfect track to bridge prog house and prog trance tracks in your set. Last but not least is the Aurosonic mix that I left it for the end as I guess many of you experience it already on ASOT and many other well known radio shows. Driving pulsating prog trance beats and absolutely ethereal piano riffs within the unforgettable two large epic breakdowns will have an overwhelming effect on you that will be impossible to resist letting the tears coming out from your eyes. It’s the kind of remix that is destined to become a classic and why not to be remembered in some years as the Dj Tiesto remix of Delerium – Silence.
