1-a) Best track(s) from other fellow artists of 2023. Why you choose this particular track, please share with us the reasons?production techniques & crowd reactions on it.
EBERLE: The Rapture Pt.III is for me the song of 2023, because of the tracks creativity. The special synth sound throughout the whole song is such special that this song is just unique. I love the way, the artists manage to bring in a unique component to each of their songs and besides that, their mix especially in the lower frequencies is always the best to hear.
1-b) Best of 2023 personal productions and for what you reasons you choose these particular tracks, is it because of technical challenges, crowd reaction in the club or was it your most successful single/album?
EBERLE: My personal production of the year is my newest single ‚Perpetuate‘, because it is in sight of the production my best work yet. I am very content with the mix and this motivates me to produce more music.
2) Best Artist of 2023(DJ & producer). Tell us why you believe he/she is the best, the factors that have influence you to choose this particular artist. What you appreciate the most from that artist.
EBERLE: Keinemusik are for me the artist team of the year. They managed to hype the whole world for their afro-styled house music. Their live show, which I saw this summer in Ibiza, is untouched. They generate a beautiful atmosphere and the music is for me the peak of recent house music.
3-a) Best Remix(es) from other fellow artists of 2023. For what reasons you chose this particular remix, i.e. production proficiency, technical reasons creativity and imagination of the remixer :
EBERLE: Before The Flood (Ankhoi Remix) is my favourite remix from 2023, because the newcomer artist took the chance to make a remix for Keinemusik and shined with it. The noticeable kick, the bassline and the special synth make this track recognizable and the track gives me many beautiful emotions, which I can relate perfectly to summer vibes and love.
3-b) Best Remixer(s) of 2023 with short comment, for what reason u believe he/she is the best remixer? Technical professionalism and technological proficiency? the elements that stand out in it.
EBERLE: Keinemusik are for me the best Remixers, because they remix kind of unpopular songs to bangers. The way they bring their personal touch into their remixes is exemplary.
4) Best New Talent of 2023 (DJ or producer), for what reasons you choose this particular artist? Do you know him/her personally?
EBERLE: Mont Rouge from Switzerland are one of the rising stars in house music I think. They have so many unreleased tracks that everybody is waiting for and I can‘t wait to hear their releases next year. I don‘t know them personally.
5) Best electronic dance music compilation of 2023. Please explain the criteria behind this choice? is the quality and proficiency of the mixing process, imagination/creativity in the choice of the track listing :
EBERLE: I love the ‚Afro House 2024‘ Playlist from Sirup Music on Spotify…it contains the most recent tracks of the house scene. For me the creativity in this playlist is extraordinary and thats what I love about house music - you never get bored of it, it surprises me again and again.
6) Best electronic dance music label of 2023. Please explain the reason behind your choice? what you particularly like or appreciate about this particular label?quality of tracks, great rooster of artists, personal connection?:
EBERLE: On the first place is of course Sirup Music, because they have many amazing artists in their label and above that, they give newcomers from Switzerland (such as I am) a chance. Also Selected from Berlin is always worth a listen and they do also cool artworks and I like Keinemusik because of their individuality and specificity.
7) Best music composition software and hardware of 2023 with short comment. Why you believe this particular software/hardware deserves to be named as the best? great new features, easy to navigate, compose & produce? The advantages of this particular software & hardware that makes it to stand out.
EBERLE: Kickstart2 is for me the best and most efficient way for sidechaining, which is a very important process in house music. With their update from the first version it gives you more scope to be creative.
8) Best technical tips/production skills that you learnt in 2023 in relation to your DJing or music productions:
EBERLE: For my personal style that I‘m seeking for I set my focus on the perfect low end. For that I improved the production of my kickdrum from not only searching for perfect samples, but to generate my own Kick samples in Kick2 (software) to be able to make it fit perfect into my tracks.
9) Best piece of personal or music business' advice you got in relation to your career in 2023 and has helped you to progress even further and can help others who will read this interview:
EBERLE: Set a few goals which make you able to work on yourself - for example to perfectionate your low end mixing - so you can become the best version of yourself in your area…I think the success will follow automatically if you work on yourself…
Dimitris: Do you have any concrete plans for 2024 regarding future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, DJ gigs? Please provide us the juicy details.
EBERLE: I have the plan to publish as many music as possible in 2024 so I can demonstrate my individual style…that‘s my focus in my still young musical carreer.
