This year's ADE Tech, produced in partnership with Paylogic and in co-operation with Paradiso, focuses on the new music technologies and much more. The highlights of the upcoming panels to be held at this year's ADE Tech that showcase the combined future of music and technology are as follows:

Companies to Watch (C2W)
ADE Tech kicks off the day with Companies 2 Watch, including the five companies chosen after a preliminary round at the Paradiso in August. The speakers to represent their company are Albert Gruber and Bernhard Famler of Seeqnc, Diego Farais of Amuse, Joe Lyske of MXX, Jonas Norberg of Pacemaker and Midas Kwant of WE:FM. More info about the first two finalists can be found here and about the second batch of finalists here. This second session will start with a short film of the first round pitches, followed by the best five companies attempting to prove their relevance. The judges include representatives of the tech sector, venture capitalists plus last year’s winner Muzooka. The audience will also get the chance to vote for its favourite pitch.

New Services for Artists - The Freshest New Start-Ups
During this panel, ADE Tech will be reinforcing its commitment to reveal the best new tech as AFEM board member and advisor Matthew Adell will be showcasing his personal favourites. These include social marketing platform Toneden, Songtrust’s services for songwriters and a brand new chatbot service for music makers from Dialect.ai.

Innovation and Social Media
Polo Molina, manager of will.i.am, venture capitalist and social pioneer will be present alongside Shaw Miseyko of Big Beat Records, discussing how artists truly engage with fans through technology these days. Key players from the live entertainment industry will be looking at the innovative relationship between music and social media, covering strategy, successes, and lessons learned across multiple platforms.

How To Change the Game in Electronic Music
The new tech theme continues with a panel in which the Association For Electronic Music brings together five thought leaders in music tech to share their personal insights on the game-changing technology they love.

The Future of Music Instruments
DJ and futurologist Juan Atkins will be featured as well as Eric Wahlforss of Soundcloud, Pedram Faghfouri of Traktor/Native Instruments, Elektron’s Simon Mattisson, and Chris Galvin of Metapop/sounds.com covering topics like project workflow, UI, third-party integration, what we might expect in the near future and even what is being lined up some distance beyond that.

Octave One - Unwrapped
In this panel, the burden brothers will be revealing the mixed bag of high and low tech instruments that they have collected over the years, how they create synergies with each other to get the best from their equipment, and how they choose which new technologies to adopt. On top of that, they will be discussing how technology has played a role in enabling their career and in unwrapping their innate musical and creative abilities.

Digital Realities Keynote - How Safe Are We?
Ralph Echemendia a.k.a. The Ethical Hacker will be taking an in-depth and objective look at the realities of cybersecurity. He will also be tackling widespread worries about the speed of deployment of artificial intelligence, the internet of things and mediated reality, all of which are presented as evolutions that will help society, but that also create vulnerabilities, such as not being able to protect our privacy and other valuable data.

The Evolution of Online Music Consumption
This panel examines how the electronic dance community continues to evolve in order to meet the changing needs of artists. Topics like what can streaming platforms do for the artists, how can artists and labels work more closely with streaming services to create benefits for both sides and in what direction the industry is heading will be answered.

Laidback Luke Goes Back to the Future
Laidback Luke revisits his vinyl-only early days, then creates a timeline based around the technology that he used as it became available, recounting how it changed his performances as well as what it enabled him to do compared to previous tech and how that affected his relationship with the crowd.

Your Live Performance Royalties Are Waiting For You
Finally, last year’s C2W winner, Shawn Wilson, Ashley Howard of PRS for Music, AFEM’s Greg Marshall, Rick van Teylingen of Buma/Stemra and Marc Azais of SACEM, examine why many artists leave their part of live performance royalties unclaimed. Our panel of industry experts will discuss the realities of this huge pool of money and the ways that artists can collect their share of it.

Paylogic will host an informal drink in the Kopstootbar - across the street of the DeLaMar Tbuilheater - starting at 5.30 PM
