Zoe Margolis will be delivering the keynote speech entitled Us Too? Sexism, Shaming and Standing up for What's Right in the Age of Social Media on Wednesday, because right now it seems like, for every fight won against prejudice, bigotry and bullying, another battlefield opens up. And there's no way that we can pretend that dance music is somehow exempt from these problems.
But those calling out prejudice, harassment and structural discrimination still face back-lashes – and many people still don't understand the seriousness of the issues that affect us all every day. Margolis has worked in the music industry, but is also an author, film critic, journalist and commentator on sex, feminism, film, and popular culture. She has experienced notoriety as a sex blogger and is in a unique position to talk about how misogyny and other prejudices operate across the media and society. She is also a fantastic speaker with a no-nonsense approach. Don't miss it!
