ADE 2014: Q&A with electronic music eventing pioneer James Barton at ADE Pro

He is the 'President of Electronic Music’ at the world's biggest event company Live Nation Entertainment, and James Barton will be at ADE Pro for a Q&A on Friday.

Over the years, Barton has had a huge influence on the shape of the contemporary global event landscape. Alongside his current position at Live Nation Entertainment, a role he took on in 2012, he has had a long and impressive career. He is the founder and CEO of global clubbing brand Cream and the award winning Creamfields festivals, and he is considered by many as an innovator and a leader in his field. On Friday Barton will answer questions about the music business, his career, his vision of the future and what he learned over the years promoting mega-events and organising club nights. 

Barton will be interviewed by nightlife enthusiast Matt Adell, who started his career at Wax Trax, then helped acid house and ambient/trance pioneers The KLF beak in the United States. He was the CEO of Beatport until recently.
