ADE 2014: The remainder of the largest shipyard in Amsterdam becomes Venue at his year's ADE festival

Amsterdam's iconic NDSM site, a place filled with history, offers a true dance marathon at this years ADE Festival.

The place where dozens of famous ships and supertankers slid off-ramp in the twentieth century is now a buzzing creative city of its own. The NDSM area, located at the northern bank of the IJ river, is a place full of workshops, monumental art and events. At the new temporary buildings, such as Noorderlicht and Pllek, you can eat, drink and party at the river bank and enjoy one of the best views of Amsterdam.

On October 18 the Dockyard Festival offers a true party marathon from 11am till 11pm featuring artists such Anja Schneider, Butch, The Advent, Hobo, Alex Bau, DJ Rush, Drumcomplex b2b with Tom Hades, Audiowomb, Bas Mooy and Jeane Isadou, making it perfect for those who like to party all day.

Dockyard Festival
Saturday October 18, 11:00 - 23:00 | Ambassador Tickets: € 15 , NDSM | Tt. Neveritaweg 15, Amsterdam

Dockyard Festival at the NDSM Werf in Amsterdam is a unique, one-of-a-kind event. Three tents, incredible music, and the experience that you know us for.

Caught between water and land, between the brick warehouses slipways, cranes, and tracks, the Werf radiates a sturdy, yet derelict character. Raw and full of energy. DOCKYARD FESTIVAL springs from the seeds spread from the surrounding ageing materials that express the NDSM’s maritime industrial heritage. The sawing, drilling and hammering of the past are replaced with the beats of the DJs that punch through the air this coming ADE. The sound of ships sledded from the slopes under loud cheering now become music and cheering voices of the audience as they dance and become a part of The Dockyard’s futuristic dystopia.
