REVIEW: O.B. - Homba Ya / Pow Wow out on Selekted Music

1-Homba ya
2-Pow Wow

If Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, Chuckie and Eddie Halliwell are big supporters of your work and Sony Music, EMI and Universal Music are knocking on your door for remixes, you know you’re doing something worthwhile…

After releases on V-Essentials, Apple Jaxx, Nervous and Cr2 Records amongst others and recently having remixed one of the largest progressive tunes ever, Nadia Ali, Starkillers & Alex Kenji’s Pressure, the young O.B from Marrakesh signs to Selekted Music with a belter of a 2-track EP release.

Homba Ya has a big phat pumping latin flavour and over to the flipside, Pow Wow is straight up big riffed big room.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Selekted Music is back on full force and has some very good news for us. O.B. releases his massive EP with two real bombs ready to explode in a dancefloor near you so better get ready for this.  Homba ya is a very large tribal prog house slammer that will pump you hard for sure. Its tribal latin bouncy beats, the solid percussion, the exotic singing vocal samples, the uplifting euphoric synthy stabs in the breakdown and the funky happy rhythm will put everybody straight away in the mood for party. Very solid production that rocks with its well rounded beats and  the way that radiates positive vibes in the air. You can not even stand still to write your review. You wanna dance along with it non stop. If Homba Ya is for the house purists, Pow Wow on the other side is a powerful epic prog house banger for the new generation of house lovers that don't mind experimentation and some trancy euphoric synths too. Pow Wow is solid, straight to the point rough and energetic piece that big rooms and open air festivals can find useful. Its very large indeed. Welcome back Selekted Music. Love iT!
