The 17th edition of Amsterdam Dance Event(ADE) was the biggest one so far. For five full days Amsterdam turned black and yellow. Music lovers enjoyed music from 1.700 national and international artists like Armin van Buuren, Richie Hawtin, Afrojack, Carl Cox, David Guetta, Danny Tenaglia, Headhunterz and many many more played at a record breaking 75 venues.
Top speakers from all around the world shared their knowledge with the audience at the ever expanding conference program. Video art, interactive projection and light design were the main topics at Beamlab, ADE’s brand new conference for stage design and VJs. Students were inspired by top shots like Duncan Stutterheim, Junkie XL and Joost van Bellen at ADE University. Upcoming DJs and producers took the stage at ADE Next and were inspired by our dance legends and dinosaurs.
Last but not least, ADE successfully launched its third pillar: ADE Playground. A unique and broad day program consisting of film screenings, exhibitions, showcases, product presentations and retail promotions at over 20 venues around town.
On Friday 19th of October as part of the most important and influential platform for EDM, ALDA events presented on the Passengers Terminal Amsterdam the spectacular Armada Night event that is of course the official event of the most important dance record label in global scale Armada Music that is the home of many great artists from around the world housing some of the finest record labels.That night will be remembered for ever because of the fantastic Armin van Buuren performance and the great dj sets by Sied van Riel, W&W,Tom Fall, Max Graham, Aly & Fila, Ashley Wallbridge, John O'Callaghan and the opening set of the hot duo from Malta Tenishia that we had the chance to have an interview with them at the backstage of Armada Night and you are about to watch right now.
This was the 2nd chance to meet Tenishia after the great interview we did at Tomorrowland festival in Belgium. If you get the time to watch it you can find answers on the following questions. We asked them about their opinion for ADE and in what other Armada Nights events they have performed so far and if possible to pick up their favourite Armada Night event. They tell us everything about their current single and the forthcoming one that is going to be "Memory of A Dream". They give us a hint about the latest remixes for others artists that they produce and they talk about their hard work at the moment to promote the album and prepare music videos for the singles. We ask them about where they get the inspiration for so beautiful melodies and we wonder if Love is maybe the main emotion that inspires them so much. We ask about the popularity of Trance Music in Malta and if they produce with your own sounds or pre-existing samples from libraries.
They share with us their opinion about Armin van Buuren's achievement to reach number 1 for 5th time at the dj mag Top 100 and they reveal how they feel that manage to climb at number 50 this year at the dj mag Top 100 list. Also we ask if they believe that this list will help them to get more dj bookings in the future. Lastly we discuss about how much time they spent of facebook/twitter communicating and interacting with their growing global fanbase. Once again Tenishia will win your admiration so better watch it.
