REVIEW: Eco - Desert Song E.P. out on ASOT/Armada Music

1.Desert Song (Original Mix)
2.Prism (Original Mix)
3.The Storm (Original Mix)

In 2007, a creative mind arose from the Big Apple. It was Marcello Pacheco, who now looks back upon 5 years of successfully climbing the top of the scene. Under his Eco moniker, he brings another golden lining to our nights, with ‘Desert Song’ and ‘Prism’.

It’s been a few months since we last heard a new tune from the Eco studios. The diversity seeking producer kept himself busy with his first official compilation, ‘Constellations In You’, to great success.

Following his latest tunes ‘A Million Sounds, A Thousand Smiles’ and ‘Echoes’, he now brings the deep, throbbing bass of ‘Desert’ and ‘Prism’. ‘Desert Song’ providing a powerful, well-built prog-trance tune with a gentle melody, mysterious vocals and a strong pay-off. ‘Prism’ being the icing on the cake, rich in details and layers and making you lose yourself inside its intricate melody from first play on.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Eco is one of finest trance talents that manage to attract big attention to his always heartfelt and really touching productions that may sound deep and magical but they are targeting strictly the dancefloor too. His latest Desert Song E.P. will travel us to the Middle East with 3 exceptional tracks that will transfer you instantly to another place. It seems that Eco is ready to compose the soundtrack for a Hollywood movie too. Lets hope an inspired director will discover his music. Desert Song is a stunning music odyssey with bubbly beats, driving deep basslines and ethereal strings and ethnic style melodies combined with exotic Arabic female vocal that build the superb soundscape that you expect suddenly to see magic carpets flying all over the place and Aladdin coming out from his bottle to make true your secret wishes. If your wish the rest of the tracks of this EP to be equally beautiful as it seems your wish becomes true. The second track called Prism is absolutely mindblowing production with deep basslines, intense build up and on top melodramatic strings and exotic melodies along with chopped vocals. What is really intresting on this track is his twisted acid touched synthy riff that comes to the open in the climax and really adds an electronica feel to the whole track. Third exceptional track is The Storm. Eco provides to  the trance floors another music journey with tribal style beats and twisted bassline that drives the track forward along with ethereal mystical vocals on the background. The breakdown is very cinematic with female vocal that crawls underneath your skin straight to the heart and along with that acid like synthy riff and the guitar riffs too drive us to the amazing full on climax that is tough and banging but very deep and emotional too. Pure perfection from a talent we ain't see nothing yet from his abilities. Adore IT!
