REVIEW: Sean Tyas - Lift (2011 Remixes Part 2) out on Discover

1-Sean Tyas - Lift (Lisa Lashes Remix)
2-Sean Tyas - Lift (Sly One vs Jurrane Remix)
3-Sean Tyas - Lift (Des McMahon Remix)
4-Sean Tyas - Lift (Darren Porter Remix)

Part 2 of this stunning Discover re release features the runner up in the remix competition, Darren Porter more than holding his own against three stunning interpretations from Lisa Lashes, Sly One vs Jurrane and Des McMahon.
Darren's remix moves through the gears perfectly from its tribal beginning right through to the delivery of its trance payload.
Lisa Lashes delivers a full on tech trance excursion that also draws clever production influences from techno, electro and dubstep styles.
Sly One vs Jurrane prove they are happy to step out of their comfort zone as their remix sits over a genre busting bottom end of dirty house and techy funk!
Finishing it all off nicely is Des McMahon who stamps his authority on the track with a heady mix of filters, stabs and even some cheeky dubstep all blended perfectly in his own unique style.

Dimitri Kechagias review: When a classic trance is brilliant its re-release should be really large and for that reason there are two big packages of new versions to choose from. On the part two of the new mixes of the classic Lift by Sean Tyas,  4 great additional remixes are included by some of the brightest stars of Discover records. First of all the runner up in the remix competition Darren Porter goes for a full on hands in the air uplifting remix close to the spirit of the original. He applies the characteristic riff in the best possible way with addiotional vocal samples and powerful beats and the result is pure class. He worth it to be one of the winners.  Lisa Lashes version is the perfect weapon for the harder sets as she mash ups tech trance beats, grungy distorted basslines and even a very effective dubstep part in the breakdown along with that lovely riff to Lift us all up. Sly One vs Jurrane Remix is quite a surprise for me as they decide to move towards a more progressive trance direction with electro trance beats and twists with great application of the gigantic riff. Last but not Des McMahon Remix is pure adrenaline charger. You plug your head close to the speakers and you get the amount of energy you want to help you last for the whole night. In my opinion in both packages the uplifting versions are the best. This riff is ready made for uplifting trance records. Love IT!
