Best of 2024 Interview with Chris Maico Schmidt aka Mike S.

 

Since 1983, a DJ, since 1990, a label owner of Evosonic Records, and a lecturer at the VibrA School of DJing from 2004 to 2018, he was awarded the German Dance Award in 2000.

He has released seven albums, over 80 singles and EPs, and over 50 remixes. As of 2024, he has released three DJ mix CDs on labels such as Harthouse (Frankfurt, Mannheim, Berlin), BluFin Records, Evosonic Records, City of Drums Black Label, Volume Berlin Records, Valhal Records, Vorwärts Musik, and Holy Chaos Records.

He achieved No. 1 and No. 2 rankings on the UK Underground Dance Charts and multiple Top Ten rankings on the iTunes and Beatport Charts.

Since 1997, he has been the driving force behind Evosonic Radio, the world’s first 24/7, 7-day-a-week electronic music radio station. Evosonic has since expanded its reach globally via the internet since 2015.

He has performed live and as a DJ in various countries, including Hungary, Great Britain, Switzerland, France, Austria, South Africa, Denmark, Russia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, the United States, Spain, and Italy.
