We have for second time as he has exciting news for us the brilliant upcoming talent Casepeat. Read his interview and indulge yourself in his answers.

1-Dimitris: It would be nice to start by telling us your 3 most important achievements or goals fulfilled in your career so far that you very are proud of.

Casepeat: I interviewed about my career in the first one with Flux BPM, so I'm gonna tell you recent news! After my first interview here, my interview was the top 1 contents here! xD Thanks a lot! Orjan Nilsen supported my track 'When I Saw You' from Elpida Music (Black Hole Recordings). It was really nice! And I restarted my weekly live radio show (podcast) 'Play It Forward' from episode 100. I'll tell you about this more in the next question about this.

Also, I signed my tracks in Blue Soho Recordings and Infrasonic Recordings recently! my track will be released on 'Red Soho' label for their progressive trance one and 'InfraRed' label for their energetic uplifting trance.

2-Dimitris: Can you tell us the top 3 tracks from the past that have influenced your sound the most and why?

Casepeat:  It is always hard to count 'top N' because there are so many nice tracks and also that have influenced my sound too. :)

1. Armin van Buuren & Ana Criado - Suddenly Summer

Maybe this made me why I love trance tunes. Love those so emotional but powerful feelings. And also this feelings the main energy when I create my tracks

2. Roman Messer & Cari - Serenity
Also have emotional but powerful feelings. This track made me love the 138~140bpm uplifting trance!

3. Ahmed Helmy - R4VE 101
This track was so sensational to me the best of future rave influenced trance. This made me my upcoming track (maybe in August this year.) signed to Futurising Music that Ahmed Helmy's label. This is the literal future sound. :)

4-Dimitris: It would be fantastic to talk about your latest releases Noryang-jin via OHM Music and Time Break (Incl. Naqus's Remix) via DINURE Recordings . Please tell us how these tracks came about and what was the idea behind them.

Casepeat: The first one 'Noryang-jin' is the name of a place in South Korea, there's a huge fish market department. I have been influenced by their passion, dreams, people and scenery, and wanted to express the energy of the place!

The second one 'Time Break' is my first track with my own vocal! With a little experimentation, And that song is for the 'imagined someone in an impossible situation and want a Time Break'. It's a fantasy style and my friend Naqus had a great trance 2.0 style remix! Also, the record label 'DINURE Recordings' is the EDM label based in South Korea! Actually, this release was the first thing that included a remix from this label. I feel really thankful to DINURE Recordings!

5-Dimitris: How long it took you to produce it and can u describe the production process in simple steps?

Casepeat:  'Noryang-jin' was not that long, it has a little unique style melodies and I like it!

But 'Time Break' took over 1 year. I produced all of thing and wrote lyrics, song vocal and recorded by myself! Changed the lyrics many times, rearranged... really took lots of time!

6-Dimitris: Did you had any particular difficulties accomplishing that particular track or any specific technical challenges or obstacles that you had to overcome during its production.

Casepeat: Yes. Writing lyrics for 'Time Break' was really hard. I had trying to write more like english culture for EDM scenes but I'm Korean haha. That was the hardest thing. But I really loved the melody, chords and vibes.

7-Dimitris: If you would have the opportunity to change something in your track and maybe to do a new remix what elements are you unhappy with and you are going to change? Is there any artist that you feel would be fantastic to remix this track and why?

Casepeat: I don't think remixing is altering something unhappy for me, haha. I think remixing some tracks will show another way for the original one. :)

If the question is 'my track' and hope 'other artist' for remixing, I dream Maor Levi remix on any track from 2023 year. xD

I love his original tracks too but his remix of other artist is always insane!

8-Dimitris: Please choose the most powerful lyrics ever included in a dance track and why these lyrics have touched you so deeply and have a special meaning for you?

Casepeat: From 'Cash Cash - Surrender (and Tritonal Remix too!)',

"If you hold me now and leave me never
Say you'll stay with me forever
Then I surrender, surrender"

Not only 'lyrics' but the harmony of lyrics, melody, chords and sounds make me crazy when I listen to this original track and Tritonal's remix.

That makes me imagine some cinematic feelings and I think the expression is really fresh way.

9-Dimitris: Can you pick up your all time favorite album and tell us why you adore it so much?

Casepeat: I love Armin van Buuren's 'Intense' album. That was the first full album released from Armin for me, and I remember when I fell into trance. :)

Also love ilan Bluestone's 'Impulse' album. I love all the tracks in the album. His unique and signature style is there.

10-Dimitris: Do you have your own radio show/podcast/twitch stream or Vlog(video blog)? If yes please give us a comment about it and how long it take you to prepare for it and if you are always excited to produce it?

Casepeat: Yes! As I referred to in a previous interview, I restarted my own weekly radio show 'Play It Forward' after my first interview in Flux BPM Magazine. It was audio based 30min DJ mix from episode 1 to 99 for several years in Mixcloud, but I also re-launched with video 2hrs live DJ mix in my 'Casepeat Studio' from episode 100. :) Live on Twitch every Thursday 19:00~21:00 (GMT+9, South Korea), and YouTube VOD uploaded after the live show, 2 hours (21:00~23:00). Latest episode was Ep. 106. I will keep going because of so much positive energy from the Trance Family, music fans.. etc. I love the 'support' culture in this scene. That's why I do this. And I need half of the day for track choice, designing, uploading and promoting etc. The easiest thing is live DJing in this podcast, haha. Also so much thanks to you for lots of promos recently! Feel free to send promos to casepeat@gmail.com ! (Personal & Label both welcome!) xD

11-Do you post videos on tiktok? If yes please reference for us your favourite? What is your opinion about the power of tiktok to promote music releases? Is there any tiktok video created by fans of you with your music worth mentioning?

Casepeat: Yeah sometimes. But that's usually for just promoting my new releases, some content for performing, breakdown of my tracks.. etc. I don't use many but you can check here -> tiktok.com/@casepeat

12-Dimitris: Are you happy about the quality of the tracks released in your preferred music genres? Please justify your answer with your opinion about it!

Casepeat: Yes! I love the melodic and pure stuff in trance scene, but I also love the mixed vibes with recent future rave and techno stuff too. :)

13-Your current Top 3 tracks with short comment:

Casepeat:  (Hard to pick only 3.... haha)

Armin van Buuren & Ana Criado - Suddenly Summer

Super8 & Tab Feat. Julie Thompson - No Frontiers

Ilan Bluestone  & Maor Levi  feat. Alex Clare - Hold On

14-Dimitris: Please choose the best and worst remix of club classic and tell us why you like or dislike them.

Casepeat:  I don't think there's 'worst' remix to me haha. That's just a matter of taste!

I remember some great remixes like...

* PPK - ResuRection -> Maurice West Remix

I love the original one of course, but Maurice West had a great big room style but also has a trancy style remix.

* Cash Cash - Surrender -> Tritonal Remix

I'm not sure that I could this track is 'classic' but that is 'insane' remixed track!

* Human Resource - Dominator -> Armin van Buuren Remix

Yeah It's absolute classic for 'Hoover' sound! I listened to this UMF 2016 in Korea when Armin had come!

15-Dimitris: How much do you care if your fans or followers like your productions? Do you struggle with the audience reception of your tracks and is this thought adds extra pressure on you and discourage you too?

Casepeat: I always care. And I think It would influence many A&R managers in record labels. I think that could be one of the guidelines for the music industries. But also I am always trying to put some 'originality' in my music. That could be a flow of melody, chords and sounds. I always dream of catching both. :)

16-Dimitris: Do you believe that audience should be banned from constantly taking photos or videos during DJ sets or are you happy with these activities?

Casepeat: I understand why some people hate that, but I don't think they should be banned. :) That could be just one of the reasons they enjoy the gigs I think.

17-Dimitris: Do you prefer small clubs or huge festivals to perform? in which festivals or clubs you aspire to play in the future?

Casepeat: Prefer huge festivals but I think small club gigs have their own advantages too.

18-Finally summer is around the corner choose for us your favourite holiday destination and share with us your most unforgettable holiday experience(good/bad)

Casepeat:  The vacation with my family that I went to the other day was very good. It is a place in Korea called Goseong, and it was very good to see good accommodation among my relatives, and I saw the sea scenery for the first time in a long time, and it left good memories.

Dimitris: Your message & wishes for Flux Bpm Online readers.
