Trance Anthology has reached its 8th edition and June's edition was dedicated to the 90's. It is definitely the decade that has gave birth to trance sounds from Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Classy tracks with new ideas and most importantly melodies that sound inspiring and emotional even after so many years. If we try to define what is classic in trance I will say that is the song that manages to sound fresh and pleasurable even after many years. In some trance songs maybe are the vocals but in the majority of cases is the clever melodies that you have never experience before for sure. Also in the 90's each country had its own unique sound and the producers were not so competitive to each other and everybody was doing their own thing with their own sound. Only when certain track became popular radio friendly hit then the market would be flooded with copycats and similar tracks with slightly changed notes composition. Trance in the 90's has reached its highest peak of creativity, refreshing ideas, and rejoicing music with influences that bubble up in the productions of many producers. Trance Anthology focuses in the 90's with selection of tracks coming from various years of the 90's without following a specific chronological order. If I had attempted to follow the history of the genre chronologically I had to include all the tracks released in these years but because my music collection is quite big but still limited I prefer to move away from the strains and barriers that "chronos" is putting upon us so I decided to have all my 90's trance tracks available in my palette and paint the picture of the 90s but with my current mood or feelings. This months edition includes superb music and some well known and less well known tracks. The journey has it all from deep progressive to balearic Ibiza sound and of course the rougher edgier dark melodic tech trance gems as well. I invite you to press play and enjoy the 8th edition.
