The Essex-born pop singer is known for her unconventional and experimental take on Brit R&B.
London based Tirzah spent years in the center of the very prolific post-grime and UK garage scene in the British capital. For a decade she has worked from various shared apartments and DIY studios on her debut album Devotion, which will land on Domino Records in early August. Domino calls Devotion a "deeply personal hallucination of British R&B" influenced by the likes of Al Green, Barry White and D'Angelo.
Tirzah teamed up with her childhood friend Micachu (from Micachu and the Shapes), which resulted in some very strong lyrics about inner conflicts and the complexity of life, underpinned by the dark, recognizable beats of Micachu. 'Gladly' is the album’s woozy first single and is accompanied by a music video directed by Hannah Perry.
