REVIEW: Stephen Kirkwood - Hooligan out on FSOE Clandestine

10.0
Overall Score

Stephen Kirkwood makes his welcome return on the Future Sound of Egypt with his next Trance instalment. 'Hooligan' is a fine example of tech trance with a twist. Perfect for any peak time dancefloor, this tune is as clandestine as its title suggests.

Summary

Stoneface & Terminal imprint is back with vengeance. Stephen Kirkwood is well known in the tech trance circles as truly capable to bring mayhem with his releases and Hooligan is one of them. The track has solid old school dark techno pumping tribal groove with fat drums while the breakdown is long and melodic with huge anthemic synthy hook that has certain melodramatic emotional touch. The climax is upfront and cracking with heavy drums and relentless hypnotic grooves making this record even appropriate for techno sets. Mindblowing banger indeed. #PureGold Love It
