Space Cat Audio Technologies
S-CAT build weird and wonderful circuit-bent creations and analogue hardware inspired by years of music production and live performance. For the last ten years, partners Arron Courts and Abegael Saward have been creating modified machines for customers such as Lee “Scratch” Perry and Liam Howlett of the Prodigy. More recently, they have been developing new analogue hardware, with the latest release being a high-end BBD delay.
Arron has been producing techno since the early 1990’s, and his early releases include Smitten 03 as part of Interlect 3000, and Smitten 04 as EXP Project. He has been playing live hardware sets for many years, and is now joined by partner Abegael, performing as “Strait-Jackit”. Their first gig together was at Boomtown Fair this year.
S-CAT are very happy to be joining the ADE techno workshop to chat about circuit-bending and the process of designing and building hardware instruments. They will be bringing some of their units to demonstrate, including a modified Casio VL-tone, their Dub-Siren and Dub-Synth, and an exclusive look at their new analogue “Dubsta” Delay.
