REVIEW: Nick Callaghan - Since '83 out on Pure Trance Progressive

Glaswegian Nick Callaghan has been releasing a steady stream of polished & sophisticated trance records since 2008, most recently on labels like Damaged, Monster & Kearnage and his Dj sets are renowned for their combination of Trance, Techno & Psy. He does, however, also have a deeper more progressive side to his sound, which he explores here on the 125bpm ‘Since 83’ - an immersive production that fuses hypnotic samples & sequencer lines, ethereal vocal snatches & pounding percussion.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Pure Trance Progressive has reached release number 8 and this is offered to Nick Callaghan for his magnificent deep progressive trance Since 83. If you like the deeper warm up side of progressive trance you are going to adore the fantastic arrangement that keeps delivering emotional attachment and carry  you to a journey that you wish to never end. Powerful percussion combined with metallic driving basslines while on top wide variety of synthy plucks are placed. The distorted vocal snippet adds some funky edge to it and for some moments makes you believe that the track is moving towards prog house. Actually what you get is truly trancy and hypnotic with long breakdown that allows magical melodies. luscious atmospheres and heavenly melodies to get immersed into one. The climax has one goal and that is to give the sense of relief and happiness that seems to come naturally when we reach the crescendo moment. #PureGold Love It[/content]
