ADE Global Sessions Aruba ended just like it had begun: with an intimate, island culture themed party featuring sizzling Caribbean dance and dancehall music.
This edition of the ADE Global Sessions kicked off on Thursday September 3 with the Island Culture Block Party, including the exclusive release of the island inspired album The Highest Grade Vol. 1 – Caribbean Kush by The Partysquad and Rebel Yard with a special appearance by amazing Jamaican singer Ce’Cile and her very talented brother Q-Ban and the Island Driven-show by Aruba’s tropical bass innovator Fellow. And its program closed on Sunday September 6 with delegates and press celebrating to the island tunes of at least six DJ’s spinning back to back in a vibrant, spontaneous set at our sunset Catamaran trip.

ADE Global Sessions, part of ADE’s on-going commitment to connect dance culture worldwide, hosted an exclusive program of small intimate sessions aimed to connect delegates, press and audience in a relaxed, slow paced atmosphere. We enjoyed visionary talks with inspirational and insightful industry speakers like Luis Estrada (Aftercluv Dancelab/Universal Music Latin Entertainment), Leizer Guss (OCESA/EDC Mexico), Brandon Bakshi (BMI), Edo van Duijn (SFX Latin America), Rodrigo Frutos (Bullitt Agency) on the latest developments in the electronic music market in the region, sitting on our chairs in the sand, with the beach and ocean as a beautiful and breath taking backdrop. At the same location we welcomed top DJ’s Loco Dice and Chuckie for 1-on-1 interactive and extensive Q&A’s on their career.
At the local Colegio EPI we invited a large group of enthusiastic Aruban students to our exclusive edition of ADE University focused on the way Amsterdam Dance Event has been building its event, brand and network over the past twenty years. And late Saturday afternoon we all came together at Pelican Pier to discuss one of our main themes this year, the importance of island culture and Caribbean music for international DJ and remix culture and the electronic music scene as a whole. In a passionate and heavyweight panel discussion we discussed the rich history and the latest developments in the Caribbean scenes with a host of key figures like Kamal Bankay (Dream Weekend Jamaica), Jamaican singer Ce’Cile, Ivan Berry (C2W), producer Mark Cyrus from St. Vincent, Aruba’s Fellow and our Island Culture-guest curators The Partysquad. And again, this session ended with a great impromptu DJ set with a classic dub plate selection by Danny Pepperseed, freestyle vocals by Ce’Cile and electronic dance music by Kamal Bankay.
At our pop-up studio in Cosecha producers Fellow, The Partysquad and Maarten Vorwerk shared their tips and tricks with the audience and in between our sessions, diners, safari trip and the night program at Electric Festival, artists and industry professionals constantly found each other to build and extend their network. With great thanks to our wonderful guests and speakers, ADE Global Sessions Aruba wraps up a very lively and successful edition. Pull up!
