Dimitri Kechagias review: What happens when one of the most outstanding Dutch party promoter, great dj and producer decides to set up his own record label? The answer can only be Grotesque records, the incredible record label established by RAM with only huge beatport trance anthems so far. The latest release that is destined to reach the peaks of the relevant trance charts is Panic Stations by Daniel Skyver. The very talented dj & producer presents another well-thought, well-crafted and well-executed tech trancer that is packed with so much energy that will blow your mind away in just seconds. Fantastic thunderous pounding drums, energetic in your face punchy basslines and superb intense synths that give you panic attack straight away when you listen to them. The composition follows the classic trance route of short breakdowns that are used to introduce new sound layers until that fantastic unforgettable dark and moody synthy hook appears to lead us on the breakdown. In contrast with the more feel good trancers, on Panic Stations the breakdown originates from a horror movie where you are the protagonist. You are trapped in an abandoned railway station  followed by an  Alien which attempts to abduct you to planet Mars as they have shortage of good djs up there. The aggressive sharp synthy hook appears to build up nicely the track and raise your adrenaline levels to their peak point. The climax is immensely powerful with dynamic beats and sinister synths combined to deliver an unforgettable experience. Youthful and revolutionary sounds for those that never compromise against all odds. Now on the package Chris Metcalfe remix is added and was worth it the wait for it after ASOT support on it. Chris rounds the edgy original and transforms it into what can someone term as pure uplifting trance with energetic basslines and pounding drums while more melodies and synthy plucks are added and suddenly in the darkness of the original there is melodic light with additional piano chords and more dreamy atmosphere that will please trance afficiniados. #PureGold #PureDarkness, Love IT
