He is a man who has presented himself under many guises throughout the years, each fulfilling his diverse artistic talents. And following on from the massive Astrolab earlier this year, M.I.K.E. Push immerses his devilish temptations, with two tracks not for the faint hearted.
Since joining the Coldharbour family twelve months ago, the New York residing Belgian has continued to present his uniquely identifiable construction of immense melodies. And the trend continues with Infusion, surrounded with a tough exterior that works wonders on the dance floor. On the flip side, Bomba is even more unrelenting, with pounding grinds and tones which blossom late into the night.
Two tracks fused with techno and tech-trance influences, and weapons adequate for any setting. All taken in stride by one M.I.K.E. Push.
Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the best signings for Coldharbour recordings should be the legend M.I.K.E. Push. One of the most talented producers who shaped the trance sound with his pioneering tracks at the historic Belgian label Bonzai moves to the next face of his career. It sounds like natural progression for him to release music at Coldharbour recordings and he now delivers the goods with two outstanding bangers. Intrusion and Bomba are super deadly weapons that will do big damage on any big room/tech trance floors. First of all Intrusion is the more melodic of the two with great techy industrial groove and pulsating bassline that simply awakes your senses when you hear it on any big soundsystem. Rough and aggressive with fearful synthy leads we move nicely to the breakdown that M.I.K.E. Push treat us first class with his trademark synthy melodies that are reminiscent of his past releases. Epic anthemic emotional synths that the one and only M.I.K.E Push can produce with so much style. Bomba on the b side, if it was a vinyl, is the darker, moody, grumpy, sinister and very dangerous anthem with constant build up of the various soundlayers with two breakdowns that allow the crowd to rest for a while and take a breath before the coming of the storm when the beat kicks back for the final sequence packed with side chained effects, swirling synths and claustrophobic atmosphere. If you play tech trance and you adore M.I.K.E. Push earlier works you will feel 100% satisfied from this EP that bridges the past, present and future of this pioneer in the most comprehensive direction. #PureGold Love it
