REVIEW: Arisen Flame - Explorer + Impulse out on ASOT recordings / Armada Music

Explorer’ comes out of the gate with a powerfully conceived stuttered chord progression.

The nuance and detail in an Arisen Flame production is evident right from the start. ‘Impulse’ picks up where ‘Explorer’ leaves off, bearing down on the crowd with a fiery intensity.

The breakdown has to be heard to be believed -- just one listen to this EP, and you’ll know why Arisen Flame is an ASOT mainstay.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the true trance experts in the scene is Armin van Buuren who knows what works on the radio and what works on big rooms and mainstage sets at the worlds biggest festivals. When Armin is supporting an artist wholeheartedly you can be very sure that is an artist that slowly everybody in the scene will talk about him. In our case Arisen Flame is back on ASOT recordings with another must have proglifting double tracker. Explorer has been acknowledged as Tune Of The Week on ASOT radio and we can not agree more with Armin's opinion. The track is perfect from every single side that you will look at it. It's energetic, dynamic, powerful, unstoppable and most importantly emotional and very melodic with themes that originate from classical music. Pumping pounding kick, aggressive energetic freaked out bassline, acid layers here and there, and excellent melodic themes that explode out of proportion in the breakdown that Arisen Flame is real craftsman to design it in his own unique sound that finds supporters all over the globe. His climax is absolutely breathtaking experience that will carry you away to another galaxy without doubts to start exploring new undiscovered worlds. Impulse starts quite chunky, bouncy, electrified and totally out of order with marching drums but slowly the various melodic elements appear to the top to keep the balance right. The breakdown is truly cinematic with emotional fragile piano chords, heavenly female voices and euphoric uplifting synths that will bring mayhem on the high class climax that sounds more like a huge classical orchestra playing for film soundtrack with epic strings and massive euphoric synths. Arisen Flame sounds to me more like a conductor who manage to arrange every sound layer in the most appropriate place for immediate results on the dancefloor! Trance Anthems with classical music influences not to be missed.  #PureGold Love iT
