REVIEW: Ron Carroll, Dany Cohiba & The Henchmen - Love Set's Free on Caballero recordings

We are happy and proud to welcome a true house legend on Caballero: Chicago based writer, producer, singer and DJ Ron Carroll wrote and sung on many major singles such as "Lucky Star" with SuperFunk, "What A Wonderful World" with Bob Sinclar & Axwell, "Back Together" with Hardsoul, "When You Got Love" with Michael Canitrot, "Everybody Movin" with Bob Sinclar, "Tribute" with Bob Sinclar, "Walking The Street" & "Bump To Dis" which was produced by Ron Carroll himself and remixed by Bart B More. For this release Ron teamed up with spanish producer Dany Cohiba and french producer The Henchmen to create another wonderful piece of house music with a driving piano hook and outstanding vocals. Next to the great original mix, we have a whole bunch of mixes spread over 2 parts of releases. This first part provides a smashing remix by Dave Rose (Tiger Records, Urbana, Pornostar) as well as a tribal influenced bigroom mix by Greek talent Argento. The second Part comes up with a peaktime mix by DJ Kone & Marc Palacios (Hotfingers, Caballero, Do The Hip), a wonderful deep house mix by Born To Funk and last but not least a classic house mix by Jolyon Petch.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The awesome house label Caballero recordings presents the latest beauty by Ron Carroll, Dany Cohiba & The Henchmen with the obvious title Love Set's Free. The part 1 has landed and includes 3 versions to choose from. First of all the original mix is a superb old school tribal house anthem with classic piano melodies and strong lively percussion to die for. With latin flavour packed with passion and on top the mesmerising Ron Carroll vocals to add that classic and trusted house signature of quality. Dave Rose is on board and he continues on the same tribal house path with tougher in your face meaty beats, punchy basslines and the piano melody that is played again and again to lock you in its groove and irresistible rhythm. Argento remix is a tougher work out that will be good for modern EDM house floors and will keep satisfied the old school as well that search for  a tribal version that will bang the crowd hard and without mercy.DJ Kone & Marc Palacios are next servicing an excellent pumping prime time weapon with playful funky arrangement, cool shouts here and there and selective use of some of the vocal parts. They are masters in remixing and making anything they touch a stand out house anthem of the night. Born To Funk move to the deep tech house territory and device a minimal chunky tech house version that is deep, wobbly, sexy, funky and so danceable. Lastly  Jolyon Petch offer us a fluffy feel good summer house version that sounds perfect for the hot sunny days. With disco house influences and retro influences will definitely keep particularly girls entertained in the middle of the dancefloor. Quality package not to be missed. Love iT
