Matthew Dunne continues his great run of releases with his latest outing for the Discover camp.
Once again Matthew draws on a wealth of influences to create his own unique style which blends dirty grooves and melodic hooks with precision and class.
The remix package is no slouch either with both Jonathan Carvajal and Paul Denton getting in on the action.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Discover Digital presents the very strong new single by Matthew Dunne called Splint. The Original mix is a superb tech trance meets prog trance kind of track with electrified basslines, techy chunky beats and breakdown that will remind you trance classics from the early 2000. Playful with wide range of influences Splint stands out for sure. Jonathan Carvajal and Paul Denton are on remix duties and the boys do their work right and exact. First of all Jonathan Carvajal builds a really interesting alternative that is harder, full on and in your face by keeping that playful composition with frequent stops and goes, acid overtones and various sound effects that can create excitement on the dancefloor. .His breakdown is following the classic pure trance sound with huge synths that can only raise the hair from your back. His climax is techy and rough focuses on the bass without any melodic content. Lastly Paul Denton follows the path of the original with many sudden stops and goes to keep things interesting but with main difference a longer breakdown with hair raising uplifting synths and even a short but satisfying energetic uplifting sequence before the beat returns for that full on rough and heavy tech trance underground sound. Strong Package indeed. Love iT
