REVIEW: K.I. - Moonblind out on Slinky Digital / Recoverworld

Cool vocal tracks are few and far between in the trance genre but Slinky have definitely come up trumps with this label debut from James Kitcher's production alias K.i.

From the moment the growling bass kicks in, the sense is that you are in for something special and you will not be disappointed.

The ethereal vocal from Paneka's original remains largely absent until the breakdown where it is seamlessly merged with cool guitar picks and an abundance of big room trance goodness.

When the track kicks back in it delivers on every level.

This is vocal trance at its very best.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The top label Slinky Digital strikes back with a very intresting and unique piece of vocal trance. K.I. is the name of James Kitcher's alias and his track Moonblind is about to conquer the modern dancefloors. We deal here with a very energetic pumping and full on driving vocal trancer that upon the wonky wierd basslines he adds some really strong melodic themes along with a very emotional and quite melancholic female vocal. Great balearic quitar waits for us in the breakdown along with the mesmerizing illusionary melodies and that really different and etherial female vocal. He reveals his euphoric synthy lead slowly and in a teasing way until the beat and basslines to kick back for the more tech trance raw and dark sequence. Of course the uplifting trance fans will get their piece of satisfaction as well when the melodic euphoric sequence comes to finish off nicely this really unique and packed with fresh ideas vocal trancer. Love iT
