1. Walkabout (Original Mix)
2. The Calm (Original Mix)
He doesn’t do quick, he does quality. New York based producer ECO makes a welcome return to the ASOT label, with the outstanding duo of ‘Walkabout’ and ‘The Calm’.
Marcello Pacheco’s debut album ‘M(you)sic’ dates back 2 years, but his ways and means with electronic dance music are still on top of the game.
His sounds have a rare distinction, and you’ll have a hard time finding anything like it. If anything – we’re happy he’s back with a new E.P., walking musical miles with the deep and emotional ‘Walkabout’.
Its B-side, ‘The Calm’, is a well-balanced piece of rich details, soothing melodies and brilliant build-ups. This is ECO, back in shape.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The absolutely magnificent dj & producer Eco is finally back on the most talk about label in trance ASOT part of Armada Music. Two warm progressive trancers is the deal here perfect for those middle summer sets and radio shows. Walkabout comes first which manage very easily to absorb you to his magical world. Packed with warm strings, sound effects and attention to detail upon tribal trance beats and driving basslines. Heavenly ethnic style voices create a mysterious atmosphere that you usually wait on Eco tracks to get that extra something that he includes in his composition. The Calm is the tougher more upfront track with bouncy techy beats, tough driving basslines and breakdown to die for. It starts with dreamy synths, continues with deep melancholic piano theme, ethnic style vocals and when the beat kicks back you get a full on hands in the air euphoric beauty that will be impossible not to carry your spirit away to another dimension. For me and I guess for many others this is real trance and what trance should be about. It manage so easily to elevate mind, body and soul cause music is a spiritual thing. Please can you ask Eco to return with more tracks and remix assignments in the near future?? Love IT
