Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the most talented producers in the trance scene is of course Ralphie B who always impress us with his quality and very delicate trance productions that remain faithful on the "pure trance" sound dogma. His latest release on the legendary classic trance imprint Captivating Sounds is his co-production with Mesh for the fantastic Seize the Day. With such a positive title you expect something really special and stand out from the rest. The two Dutchmen do what they know best and they compose for us an epic 9 minutes plus flowing and floating energetic driving trancer that has so much emotion, energy and intensity to move mountains and huge crowds on this years open air summer festivals. It starts with an ambient emotional intro and then moves with deep and driving basslines, energetic forward thinking beats, psy trance infusions here and there, warm strings, soulful electronic synthy melodies and ethereal heavenly style female voices. With highly sensitive deeply emotional breakdown the top duo builds slowly the track until to unleash its energy in the massive optimistic climax. Its the kind of real classic trance sound that we used to get on historic record labels like Sven Vath's EyeQ records or Talla2XLC's Music Research labels. Its not the instant party trancer is rather more thoughtful one that needs couple of listening to grasp its full potential.
