With his seminal debut single The Trumpeter (La Musica) in 2011, Ray Foxx helped reinvigorate house music. Now the Foxx is back with a little help from London based singer and songwriter Rachel K Collier who provides the vocals for the new single Boom Boom (Heartbeat), a sensual and enticing piano driven and funk infused house anthem.
Along with the main mix is a boom booming remix package: Taiki & Nulight tackle the bass house vibe with aplomb, Australia’s Tom Piper delivers a deep and techie twist, Sami Wentz offers the deeper but still funky interpretation, Crazibiza turn out a summery beach house vibe and upcoming UK producer Jett builds an hypnotic garage inflected groove. Anthem alert!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Things are getting very hot and the first wave of the big Ibiza hits are knocking our door and demand to become part of your dj sets. One of those must have's and must play's is of course the magnificent Ray Foxx Feat. Rachel K Collier collaboration called Boom Boom (Heartbeat). The track is so lovable and incredible catsy that girls and boys will adore it equally on the dancefloor. The Extended Club mix is an excellent hybrid of energetic prog house with garage and tech house infusions worked perfectly with Rachel incredible voice that elevates the track to the next level along with old school elements to keep the older house friends happy too. The awesome Crazibiza once again do their magic and deliver a very strong tech house banger ready made for Ibiza and other holiday's destinations. Packed with groove to make you swing and move your hips and cool climax with synthy stabs and some vocal parts as well. Sami Wentz remix is perfectly in tune with the current garage revival sound that sounds a bit old fashion but in a romantic and hooky way. Its the one to play at Ibiza terraces late at night or early mornings. Tom Piper moves on that deep garage meets tech house direction with certain underground dirty feel to it. Tiaki & Nulight remix sounds like coming from the pirate radio stations in the suburbs of East London. Dark, twisted, amazing percussion, chopped vocal samples and cool atmosphere. Jett remix is the more deep relaxing soothing sexy and erotic cafe del mar style version that chill out and lounge compilations will love to include in their tracklists. Its a ladies pleaser for sure and can make your heart Boom Boom, Love iT!
