REVIEW: Rapha - NICE incl. Maarten de Jong Remix on Tool Trance

1-Original mix
2-Maarten De Jong remix

German producer Rapha returns now with a new single after his successful outing "Impressions" and "Deep Field" here on Tool Records.

And again with his new tune the name already indicates what you are about to hear. "NICE" combines throbbing beats with beautiful synthwork that will put a smile on your face, as grooves and melodies are coupled perfectly for a positive, uplifting experience.

As the Original Mix might be more suitable for the buildup in a trance DJ set, we thought a more peak time oriented remix would be the best addition to this package. And here with Maarten de Jong as the remixer we could not be happier with the result! This mix combines the beautiful original melody with an absolute phenomenal bass-in-your-face attitude.. We love it!

Dimitri Kechagias review:  Tool Trance is one of the finest trance labels in Europe with global reputation of course. Every single release is a jewel that you enjoy having in your digital collection and you can play them even months or years after their initial release. In other words Tool Trance releases are strong like the good wine for that reason the label manage to build a strong following. The brand new release is of course the very hot and spicey Rapha new single called Nice and as the title suggests this banger is a lot more than just Nice if you think that is supported by a huge bombastic remix by Menno de Jong. First of all the Original mix is a brilliant proglifting trancer with  techy chunky beats, electrified basslines and summery feel good melodies on top. It has the groove and the energy to keep the dancefloor boiling for long. Of course the steamy part comes in the breakdown that Rapha reveals a majestic classy melancholic piano theme and slowly the track builds up its elements towards the anthemic uplifting main part that is a beautiful dreamy trance journey. Menno de Jong on the other side service the big room alternative version that combines elements of nu rave with tougher techier beats, haunting basslines and even some dirty dutch references as well. His breakdown is long and extremely euphoric with the main theme pushed to its limit in order to build excitement and intensity. The main part is rougher and grungier without any melodic input in it. Sometimes just the title says it all. Very Nice indeed! Love iT!
