That Tuesday, Tuesday the 21st of June 2011, almost a year ago, is forever etched in loving memory of a great, inspiring friend who tragically past away, leaving all of us down here on earth way too early! The colorful Patrik "Doter" Odén was a truly beloved trance and EDM enthusiast, who soon became a very dear and close friend to Mike.
To honor Patrik, his family and all of his friends, Mike started writing a tribute song together with Swedish composer/singer-songwriter Iris Kjaernested. Once the original acoustic version was ready, it was basically impossible to resist giving the song the clubby touch that was so in-tune with Patrik's nature and fantastic taste in music.
Now the Club mixes are here and on top of that Swedish upcomer Johan Malmgren and in-house Moldavian star PM Attitude were asked to deliver their takes on "Song For Doter". In spirit of this tribute, Captured Music also decided that a part of the sales will be directly donated to a trustworthy cancer foundation!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Its strange how much you think you know someone without even know him in person just through a great tribute song. I couldn't stay detached from this emotional track and I'm in tears while I'm writing this review about the fantastic idea of Mike Shiver to compose a beautiful song as a tribute to a beloved friend. Captured Music except the melancholic acoustic version decided to add some hope and light with club versions. First of all the hugely talented and upcoming PM AttitudE provide the big room version that I can see progressive house and progressive trance djs adopting it as well. With trance touches and bouncy epic prog house grooves and synths this version will smash many clubfloors without doubts. Johan Malmgren Remix is a wicked translation as well for deep prog trance djs that appreciate the Markus Schulz Coldharbour sound. Pure quality and perfection from start to finish. Electro prog trance twisted beats, sharp dirty basslines and awesome synthy melody in the breakdown that lead the track into the huge hands in the air main part. Club vocal mix is a beautiful colourful progressive trance version with great uplifting upfront vibe. Melancholic lyrics and incredible touching performance by Iris Kjaernested combined with feel good euphoric trance soundbed that will make many dance along and why not share a tear and memory for Patrik.
